The Whistle Blower plot
Young Briton Robert Jones (Nigel Havers) eavesdrops on Communist Russian telephone conversations for the British government. When he dies under suspicious circumstances, Robert's father Frank (Michael Caine) is told it was an accident. Frank does not trust this statement and investigates to find out the real cause of death of his son. In this quest, Frank finds himself in a web of intrigue when he discovers that his son was involved in a conspiracy at the highest levels of the British government.
