Le Bal plot
The fifty-year story of a French dance hall, starting in the 1920s. It is always the same people who come there, both dancers and musicians. Through their dances, an insight is given into their personalities and the relevant time period.

Very original, this history of a dance hall and what happened there, spread over many years and dance styles.
While it's enjoyable to watch the dancing couples, the string of characters and emotions that pass by is nevertheless an interesting piece: the pleasures and successes, but also the humiliations and disappointments, the jealousy and the unwanted humor and the contrasts when it's not about dancing for a while.
Also a piece of French history, so to speak.
Happy, sad, and certainly nostalgic music, chansons, and hits from that era...
Great work, also for the sets, costuming and the fitting performances of the actors.
