Kate and her friends head to a remote camp to celebrate her 21st birthday. Their trip turns into a nightmare when they encounter Piglet, a monstrous human-pig creation. After discovering a friend has been brutally murdered, they realize they are being hunted. A lackluster entry in the relevant subgenre, which uses cartoon characters as horror figures. Piglet's Return is one of the lesser entries, among which the quality wasn't particularly high anyway. This speaks volumes about the capabilities of director Andrea M. Catinella, who here demonstrates a lack of the necessary creativity or perseverance. The killer is little more than a somewhat overweight man wearing a mask, the murders are bland, and there's no tension or atmosphere whatsoever. It all adds up to a skippable film, unless you want to tick off every name in this subpar universe.
