Endurance plot

In 1915, the ship Endurance sank near Antarctica. Explorer Ernest Shackleton and his crew miraculously survived. In 2022, the ship was discovered, some 3,000 meters below the surface. This film documents modern-day polar explorers trying to reach the ship.

Beautifully designed documentary about a contemporary expedition to reach the ship of explorer Ernest Shackleton that sank off the coast of Antarctica in 1915. The reconstruction of Shackleton's story is more interesting than the expedition itself, but that should not spoil the fun. Yet another strong documentary by former mountaineer Jimmy Chin and his wife Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi.
