The documentary 'Wild Life' focuses on the close relationship between conservationist Kris Tompkins, the first president of outdoor brand Patagonia, and her husband Douglas, an outdoorsman and entrepreneur who founded The North Face and Espirit. The pair were at the center of what has been described as the largest land donation in history. They purchased millions of acres of Chilean wilderness and, working with an initially reluctant government, transformed it into vast and protected national parks. Beautiful documentary about the close relationship between conservationist Kris Tompkins, the first CEO of outdoor brand Patagonia, and her husband Douglas, an adventurer and entrepreneur who founded The North Face and Espirit. The couple bought millions of hectares of wilderness in Chile and transformed it into protected national parks. The approach of the documentary is occasionally a bit too sentimental and reverent, but the phenomenal camerawork and the fascinating subject make up for a lot.
