Hajo, een Joodse Vluchteling plot

Between 1934 and 1938, the Netherlands kept its borders increasingly closed to the many refugees from Germany. But after Kristallnacht, November 1938, 1500 Jewish children were allowed to come to the Netherlands on children's trains. Hajo, then fourteen, is one of them. At the end of his life, he returns to the houses where he lived as a refugee child and rereads the letters he wrote to his parents. His experiences as a refugee in the Netherlands had a major impact on the rest of his life.
