Freud's Last Session plot
On the eve of World War II, Sigmund Freud invites the legendary author CS Lewis. They hold a debate about the existence of God. While Freud maintains a unique bond with his lesbian daughter Anna, Lewis has a strange romance with his best friend's mother. The present, past and fantasy are intertwined.

On September 3, 1939, three weeks before Sigmund Freud ended his life with the help of a doctor, he had an existential discussion with the Oxford professor CS Lewis [Matthew Goode], who would later write 'The Chronicles Of Narnia'. The main point of contention in the intellectual debate is the sense or nonsense of the Christian faith. Flashbacks break up the stage setting and Hopkins and Goode are convincing in the leading roles. Naturally, an interest in the theme or the main characters is an advantage.
