Darcy is a professional singer in New York, but it's been two decades since she was a world famous pop star and now she's producing her own albums because she can't get a contract. She agrees to spend Christmas with her widowed sister and cousin Megan in her hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Back at home, she finds Megan ready to follow in her footsteps and join the school's Christmas choir, but Megan is cut and Darcy first goes straight to the choirmaster, Adam, who happened to be her former classmate and rival.
