Overdose plot
Sara, head of the Toulouse Police Narcotics Brigade, investigates a go-fast between Spain and France that her former lover, Raynal, has infiltrated. She soon discovers that her case is linked to the murder of two teenagers in a Paris hospital, which is overseen by Richard, the head of the local investigation. Forced to work together to find the killer and put an end to the go-fast, Sara and Richard find themselves in a breathtaking race against time on the roads of Spain and France as their attraction to each other grows.

I was really looking forward to watching this one. A French crime action film, with the necessary brutality and violence, in which the French have often shown their skills. The film really had the potential to nestle itself among the French toppers in the crime-action genre. I clearly say 'had' because for me it became an uninteresting whole quite quickly and that feeling was constantly present and even further aroused and this is purely about the story and a large part of the characters and too many things that came across as ridiculous and annoying . Here and there are certainly some more brutal action scenes and rawness, but that does not attract this film at all, to a good level, that while I often praise French films in this genre, just like in recent years, also Spanish and Italian films, which do not shy away from harshness and rawness, fascinate me greatly.
Unfortunately, this one continues to dangle between or even just below the average of the gray mice. A 4.5/10, just passed, so that will be a 2* here.

Surprisingly good raw realistic drama about the drug supply lines from Morocco to Spain. Good acting that comes across as true to life. Remarkable quote in the finale, where the Moroccan perpetrator and son of a respected drug family, and who murdered an entire family including a child..."You have to respect traditions" and "as my father's heir I had to honor him."
