Pleasantly surprised with this movie!! 
To be honest, I didn't know Dungeons & Dragons very well.
Trailer looked good with a nice cast.
The film also surprised me positively, so I am very satisfied!!!
Humor, action & lots of fantasy. Wonderful evening of relaxation.
Too bad he doesn't play in 3D here, would be a perfect movie for 3D & 4D.
But it's also only the premiere week so who knows 
Be sure to check it out, 3.5 stars.

Entertaining, but also because of that often hit and miss. People clearly opt for laughter, for light-heartedness. On the one hand that is refreshing and ensures a pleasant viewing experience, on the other hand people opt too often for silly humor and that does not work. Then the film doesn't really take itself seriously, so why should I? In fact, that whole fantasy world does not come to life at such moments. Huge pity.
Nevertheless, the film has enough good things. Nice characters first of all, although this too is 50/50. Pine and Rodriguez are a great leading couple, but Grant takes it too far and is not fun and Smith lacks any kind of comedic talent and is mostly annoying. The action is well put together, dosed and not too much with two good scenes: the break-in in the carriage and Doric who keeps changing into other animals, although the cgi absent here and that is a blemish on that scene.
All in all, light entertainment that, apart from a few separate scenes, leaves no impression once it leaves the cinema. Perhaps also because of the enormous pace. The film really goes from set piece to set piece, but there are no real resting points, there are no real moments to be sucked into that world. 3.0*.

Despite the many positive comments, I didn't like this movie. I think especially children liked this movie but as an adult this movie is a disaster. A storyline of zero point zero, humor very bland, and it was very light and superficial (especially the dialogues). And then the action? True, there was a lot of action but everything was always very predictable. Our four heroes had to deal with dragons, wizards, bad guys, etc...but guess what, in all these battles, our heroes were always lucky and the bad guys always unlucky. After even countless battles, our heroes didn't even have a scratch. Yawn then yawn when everything is so predictable.
