The Scarlet Car plot

Bank manager Cyrus Peabody and his son want to embezzle $35,000. But when their cashier, Paul Revere Forbes, learns of their nefarious plans, he is knocked unconscious in an altercation and taken for dead by car by an accomplice of Peabody. Beatrice, the daughter of Forbes, is left sad not knowing where her father has gone, while Peabody accuses him of stealing the embezzled money. They think they are safe, but when Billy Winthrop, Beatrice's friend, gets involved, the truth comes out.
