"Scoop" Jones, a reporter for the newspaper, is sent on assignment to investigate the failed assassination attempts on Archduke Julio. While trying to make sense of the story, he comes across Jane Hamilton who in reality is actually Princess Helen. However, he does not realize that she is the story. She is a princess in exile, in danger of being murdered and falls in love with 'Scoop' while already betrothed to a prince.
