As Time Goes By plot

"The fundamental things don't necessarily apply…"

Mike Taggart, a surfer, stops at a 1940s-style restaurant for a bite to eat. At some point he realizes that it is not a restaurant at all, but a spaceship. And the owner is an alien who calls himself Joe Bogart. Joe asks Mike to help him find the pod to get his spaceship working again. However, more people are looking for it.
