Birds of America plot
Breathtaking nature, large flocks of diverse birds: as a naturalist and artist, John James Audubon stepped into a true paradise when he arrived in the United States in the early nineteenth century. A fragile paradise, the Frenchman soon realized. Filmmaker Jacques Loeuille writes a love letter to the founder of nature conservation via Birds of America. Based on a route along the Mississippi, Birds of America shows what was lost in a relatively short time due to industrialization, greed and indifference.
