During a holiday in Tuscany, an average Danish family befriends a Dutch family. Months later, the Danish couple receives an unexpected invitation to visit the Dutch in their wooden house and decides to go. However, it doesn't take long for things to get out of hand, as the Dutch couple turns out to be very different from what they appeared to be. This movie disturbed to such a degree that I found it pretty difficult to finish. It descends from an unnerving atmosphere into an all-out horrific finale that left me sitting in my chair for quite some time afterwards.
Whilst some elements are rather unbelievable, it is the standard of the acting which keeps it real and means when the crazy ending arrives, you're not entirely ready for it.
