Professor Emil Glinka is an inventor with little success. But then he develops an ointment that should make shaving unnecessary. Advertising executive William Weldon and his wife Margaret see some benefit in this. They set up a campaign to get the ointment on the market. What they don't know, however, is that the ointment turns out to have a rather adverse side effect. Soon the situation gets completely out of hand.
