Rock Against Racism (RAR) was founded in 1976 in response to a rise in racist attacks on the streets of the UK and growing support for the far-right National Front party at the polls. White Riot combines new interviews with archive footage. Attention is paid to anti-immigrant hysteria and National Front marches. While neo-Nazis recruited the country's youth, RAR's multicultural punk and reggae performances provided rallying points for resistance.
