I always enjoy seeing Timothy Spall at work, including his pronounced lower lip. This is also the case in this rather special road movie about an elderly widower who travels from the extreme northeast of Scotland to the extreme southwest of England.

A light-hearted drama with numerous incidents; some funny, others extremely serious and instructive. Definitely a pleasant and entertaining film.

Wonderful film about an old man who wants to fulfill his deceased wife's last wish and travels by bus from the most northerly point of Scotland to the most southerly point of England, 'Lands End'. During that journey he oversees his life and his marriage in flashbacks. Film is carried by Timothy Spall, who gives a poignant performance here. Yet the film is not very heavy and contains enough humorous moments. I was so impressed I am giving five points.

Sorry I like a nice slow movie and I think Spall is a good actor in most movies, but I didn't think he succeeded in this movie at all, so this movie wasn't for me....
