Boof-e Koor plot

A young man is visited by his uncle. He offers him a glass of wine, but when he goes to get it, through a crack in the wall he sees the fleeting appearance of a young woman giving a lotus flower to an old man, whereupon the old man bursts out laughing. This image also regularly crops up in his sketches. Determined to find out where the young woman and the old man come from, the man undertakes an extensive search in his books on mythology and history.
