Misleading title though, suggesting a lot of action. Not bad that this is hardly present, but then I would have liked to feel a bit more tension underneath. The level is certainly not low and quite consistent, but the highlights can be counted on a hand in which a hand grenade has just exploded.

Not very memorable, half of it is already forgotten.

Small 3*.

Although not entirely successful, this film version of the documentary of the same name (also by director Dan Krauss) from 2013, based on true events, the film is mostly captivating and at times quite exciting. The cast is also fine, with Alexander Skarsgard as a convincing bad guy. The premise and the development of the plot are somewhat reminiscent of Casualties Of War by director Brian De Palma, with the action moved to Afghanistan. Only this film does not reach that level.

Ineffective war film with an interesting core, in which a number of important historical points are highlighted. The pity is that director Dan Krauss cannot translate his documentary into oppressive images, despite the visually beautiful backgrounds. Nat Wolff and Alexander Skarsgård are not convincing in the leading roles and the endearing scenes can be counted on one hand. There are simply too few noteworthy events to adequately support the psychological character of the film, which means that you forget the whole thing too quickly.
