Augusto Mendes is a single father and a bland actor, who also makes low-budget soft porn movies to survive and raise his child in São Paulo. He auditions and becomes the clown and host of a children's TV show: Bingo. The show becomes a resounding success on Brazilian television and makes Bingo the most popular clown in the country. Behind the scenes, Augusto achieves the rock star life he's always dreamed of. Despite his fame as Bingo, Augusto has to live with an inconvenient paradox: a contract clause forbids Bingo from revealing his true identity. Although he is a national celebrity who dresses up as Bingo, he remains an unknown actor when not wearing his costume. This frustration affects his son, with whom he shares his secret. His father hardly has time for him anymore.
