Les Héros Sont Fatigués plot
Former French and German soldiers settled in the city of 'Free City' to process their war experiences. Among them are the former fighter pilots Michel Rivière and Wolf Gerke. Wolf now works as a clerk, but Michel as a cargo pilot. In a plane crash, he nearly loses his most valuable cargo to date: diamonds. He meets Wolf, who is ordered to take the stones from him. But they understand each other and even become good friends and deposit the stones in a hotel safe. But then the diamonds are stolen by the hotel owner.
