"A whole year in a minute"
Ren Amari is the inventor of the revolutionary new drug OtherLife that extends the sense of time in the brain and creates virtual reality directly in the user's mind. As Ren and her colleagues scramble to launch OtherLife, the government uses drugs as a radical solution to prison overcrowding. When Ren resists, she is used as a guinea pig trapped in a virtual prison.
