Gekijo-ban Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale plot

"It was just a game...or so I thought"

The year is 2026 and Augmented Reality is getting a lot of attention. Rather than being completely immersed in a virtual reality like the Amusphere, virtual images overlap with real life. This way AR can be used without losing sight of the dangers in the environment. It offers all kinds of possibilities such as training programs and advertising. Asuna, Rika and Keiko play Ordinal Scale, the AR flagship game. At first Kirito doesn't mind, but when bosses from Aincrad appear in Ordinal Scale, his attention is also drawn.
