'My Friend Dahmer' takes a look at the early life of Jeffrey Dahmer, one of the most notorious serial killers in American history. When he was still young in the 1970s, he struggled with family and school life. He had serious problems with his cruel classmates and his father made him use caustic acid to clean up dead animals. Teachers mocked him and eventually his parents separated. Gradually, his first murderous thoughts surfaced.

Serial killer in the making!
Interesting story about the childhood of one of the most notorious serial killers in American history. Do not expect an exciting film with murder and manslaughter, this is mainly about his life when he was still in high school. We do see many traits in this strange young man that eventually lead to his later murders. The cast, unknown to me, plays well, Ross Lynch also resembles the Dahmer from that time. Again, no bloody murders but I also found it interesting to see what preceded it.

I thought this was a pretty nice film, although I can imagine that for many people this is certainly not the kind of film they are waiting for. The crime genre description above is exactly the kind of wrong signal (though the horror label on IMDb is even more misplaced), because in My Friend Dahmer we see a high-school portrait of Jeffrey Dahmer, without any actual crime involved. come see.
In the end, this is mainly a high school drama. Jeffrey Dahmer is an outsider; a strange boy with a mother who doesn't seem to be quite on track either, and where things aren't going well at home. But while Dahmer certainly has quirky quirks, such as jerking into spasms for fun and an interest in guts that proves telling with today's knowledge; here he is put down very layered. He hardly talks, and he doesn't really have any friends, but at a certain point he increasingly hangs out with the group of friends of John, Neil and Mike, who find his spastic behavior funny as a form of nice riots at school. The film is certainly slow and indeed, not much really happens, but that makes it all the more disturbing to me. Dahmer isn't a frothy maniac in real life, and although he's right before his first kill towards the end of the film, we only see a few early manifestations of his insanity here. By the way, Dahmer is very well played by Ross Lynch, and overall the acting is great here. Although I partly agree that something more could have happened in the film.

this could very well be placed in the series from recently as extra scenes in Dahmer monster .
Whoever plays Dahmer also does a very good job.
I think it's a bit less strong than last year's series but as an addition to his school days it's well put together.
