Agnes puts Atli out on the street and refuses to see their daughter Ása again. Black comedy drama about a traumatized family, of which mother Inga [Edda Björgvinsdóttir] and son Baldvin [Sigurður Sigurjónsson] seem to be the most affected by the death of their son/brother. Their bitterness manifests itself when mother fights tooth and nail against neighbor Konrad [Þorsteinn Bachmann] and his girlfriend Eybjorg [Selma Björnsdóttir], who want to get rid of the tree in the backyard because it prevents them from sitting in the sun on their veranda. , while after being caught watching a sex tape of him and his ex-girlfriend, Baldvin is thrown out of his home by his wife Agnes [Lára Jóhanna Jónsdóttir] who immediately wants to divorce him.
It cleverly weaves together elements of drama, black comedy and thriller and therefore always manages to surprise, especially in the final minutes of the film. The cast is excellent, with Björgvinsdóttir giving a performance of an extremely bitter mother that you will not soon forget.

Beforehand I didn't know what to think of this film. A dispute between neighbors would certainly not be a pleasant affair. Since I was curious, I went yesterday and I certainly don't regret it. I think this is a good movie! The gloomy atmosphere is good, the tension is nicely built up, I think the acting is top notch and the storylines captivated me from start to finish. The ending is grisly. You have to be able to handle it. The film contains beautiful images, the choir singing fits in well and I liked the humor. The very last image in particular made me laugh. A high score from my side. 4*
