Gauguin - Voyage de Tahiti plot
"The journey begins."
1891. Painter Paul Gauguin is already well known in the Parisian art world, but is tired of the so-called civilized world and its political, moral and artistic conventions. In a search for his soul, he travels alone to the other side of the world, to Tahiti, where he is consumed by a desire for original purity and is willing to risk everything for it. Lonely and alone, Gauguin ventures deeper into the Tahitian jungle, where he meets the Maoris and Tehura, his muse, who will be the inspiration for his most iconic works of art.
