Man without Pigs plot

John Waiko is the first from Papua New Guinea to graduate with a PhD and be appointed professor. After returning to his clan in the village of Tabara, he has to organize a celebration for his achievements. Since he has been away most of his life, he has no clan-recognized wealth and no network of people to support him. Also, he has no knowledge of the rituals of such celebration. He wants it to happen quickly, but that's not how it works in Tabara.
