Final Portrait plot
"The search for perfection never ends"
Paris, 1964. Alberto Giacometti, the celebrated artist, sees his old friend, the respected American critic James Lord, and suggests that he pose for a portrait, because he has an interesting face. Lord is flattered by the request, but as the days go by and there's seemingly no end in sight even after weeks, he realizes his whole life has been hijacked by the erratic genius. The changes between frustration and joy eventually lead Lord to see the logic in the artist's chaotic mind and witness Giacometti complete one of his last masterpieces.
