Sprakeloos plot
The life of the successful writer Jan Meerman is turned upside down when his mother unexpectedly suffers a stroke. His flamboyant and lively mother loses her ability to speak. Her speech is reduced to pitiful cries and gibberish. During this difficult period, Jan struggles with the deadline for his new novel. The confrontation that Jan has to enter into with his mother forces him to question everything, including his literary priorities.
