Seven short horror stories. In 'The Pit And The Pendulum', a man wakes up in a white room with no exit and a hole in the floor that keeps getting bigger. In 'Alone', a man is tortured by someone he used to bully. In 'Loss of Breath' a porn star insults the wrong man by saying he has a small penis. In 'Morgue Street', two prostitutes are visited by a murderous man and his lustful gorilla. In "The Tell-Tale Heart," a man kills his friend, followed by deep regret. In 'The System of Dr. Tarr & Prof. dr. Fether', a reporter visits Dr. Tarr and Prof. Fether to discuss their controversial methods. He finds out that the two are completely insane. Finally, in 'The Premature Burial' a man wakes up in a coffin, deep underground.
