De Reünie plot
After a burnout, 35-year-old Sabine Kroese returns to work. Right from the start it appears that she is no longer in place there. She no longer has any friends and her boss treats her anything but fair. However, there is one bright spot: the meeting with the handsome Olaf van Oirschot, a man she remembers from her teenage years. Sooner than she wants to admit, she begins to feel something for him. Feelings he eagerly responds to. Sabine tries to get her life back on track, but an announcement of a high school reunion suddenly turns her life upside down. It brings up an important event from her childhood: the disappearance of her best friend Isabelle. Sabine feels enormously guilty, perhaps Isabelle would never have disappeared if Sabine had cycled home with her that day... She begins to rummage through the past, getting closer and closer to the true, terrifying story of Isabel's disappearance.

I really enjoyed this video though.
I haven't read the book, maybe that made a difference.
After I needed some time to get used to Schuurmans,
I was really sucked into the story. Supporting roles were not too strong, but the main characters were strongly cast in my opinion.
Wonderful Dutch thriller! *3.5
