Na mijn oude DVD nog maar eens in BR-kwaliteit bekeken. Verreweg de beste, sluit qua 'probleemstelling' naadloos aan op TOS en overtreft het nog met geweldige effecten van m.n. het gigantische interieur van de constructie rond Vger. De aanloop is wellicht wat lang, maar daarna volgt een doordacht en boeiend verhaal dat ver uitsteekt boven alle vervolgen.
Het hooggeprezen 'The wrath of Kahn' is dan opeens weer een verlengde 'gewone' aflevering uit TOS. Wat avontuurlijker allemaal maar toch iets wat we al vaker gezien hebben. Maar goed, de 'in slaap vallers' zullen dit dan hoger aanslaan.
