Mr. Mercedes plot

On a frigid early morning, hundreds of desperate unemployed queue up for a job fair. Without warning, a lone driver in a stolen Mercedes hurtles through the crowd; eight people are killed, fifteen are injured. The killer escapes. Months later, retired Detective Bill Hodges is still haunted by the unsolved crime. When he receives an insane letter from someone who calls himself the "Mercedes Killer" and threatens another diabolical attack, Hodges awakens from his depressed and blank retirement, determined to prevent another tragedy.

Idd better again, I'm still working on Finders Keepers - but almost finished reading.

Luckily it's a different story, isn't it? In the book, things take place completely differently, and the logic with the series cannot be followed. Still, the series convinces especially by the insertion of Alma and the larger role of Holly. Brilliantly played by Justine Lupe.
