Tormented is a fitting description for 112 dispatcher and former police inspector Ian Ridley (Patrick Brammall, known from Colin from Accounts). For eleven years, he has carried the kidnapping of his daughter as a heavy burden. When a murder puts the case on edge once again, relationships come under strain.
The Australian six-part thriller Last Seen manages to pique curiosity with a number of unexpected plot twists. However, the series does not quite succeed in living up to the high expectations. The sometimes far-fetched and later predictable storylines, interspersed with flashbacks, frequently slow down the pace of the narrative. As a result, the suspense loses its impact and the real surprise ultimately fails to materialize. Last Seen is a solid thriller, but within Apple TV+'s excellent series selection, the series remains stuck in the middle of the pack.
