Psychoville plot

Five mentally unstable characters from different places in Britain receive the same mysterious letter from an unknown sender. Among them is David Sowerbutts, a serial killer-obsessed eccentric who still lives with his mother Maureen. Mister Jelly is an embittered one-armed clown who roams children's parties for his income. Blind millionaire Oscar Lomax receives personal guidance from petty thief TeaLeaf in his search for the most exclusive designer cuddly toys. Joy Aston is a maternity woman who projects her maternal feelings onto a fake baby. Finally, there is the dwarf Robert Greenspan, who has fallen in love with his Snow White-playing co-actress in a theatrical performance.

Psychoville season 1

Bizarre hybrid of thriller and comedy from the makers of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Sometimes it gets very strange, but I can enjoy the wonderfully coarse British humour. The best episode in all of Psychoville is David & Maureen. Comedians Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton create a hilarious stand-alone episode in Hitchcock style and atmosphere. The concept would later lead to the equally entertaining series Inside No. 9 lead.
