Zone Blanche plot
Villefranche is a small town with no telephone reception on the edge of a mysterious forest. It is a green labyrinth of several thousand hectares. The number of inhabitants is decreasing, but there is a strong increase in crime. For example, the position is under pressure because of the announced closure of the local sawmill and the disappearance of the mayor's daughter. Police inspector Laurene was once the victim of a crime. She continues to discover new corpses.

Oh well, the stories aren't that strong, there's something rattling about that. But the people are captivating and the atmosphere is well struck. I always have a lot of fun looking at it.

Entertaining but ultimately a bit too far-fetched French-Belgian Netflix series. The characters can get on with it and there is enough atmosphere, but the plot has too many coincidences and is filled to the brim with all kinds of unnecessary intrigue. However, towards the end things get quite tense, resulting in the inevitable cliffhanger. Come on, I can still have one more season.

I didn't like this. Confused storyline, without a clear common thread, too many side roads that lead to nowhere, scenes cut short far too quickly, no appealing characters who hardly get any interpretation, and an excess of dark shots. That should enhance the creepy atmosphere, but you quickly get tired of that. And to make matters worse, a fantasy sauce. A meager five. Don't miss the second season.
