''Sgt. Zeke Anderson: Over here, you're either scared or crazy... Or dead.''

My number 1 series. 3 great seasons. Fantastic cast, believable
acting performances, exciting, fascinating & at the same time very compelling.

High emotions and fierce confrontations regularly splash from the
screen off.

Strong combination of drama / war and also is shown in each
episode rendered the atmosphere extremely realistic.

Full 5 stars from me for Tour of Duty.

Great series indeed. It's in third place for me... ST: Voyager and Next Generations I thought were better (even if they are a different kind of) series. But great series, also 5 stars from me. Have the speakers at home (first bought the mediocre American speakers, from which they had demolished all the music, then bought the English versions with all the music in it). The music was also simply amazing in the series. Top of my childhood this...

A great show that is partly responsible for my interest in the Vietnam War and music from the 60's. Everything was great about this series. The storylines, the cast, the soundtrack and with the most famous song, of course, Paint it Black by the Stones, which served as the opening tune. We follow the men of the Bravocompany led by Lieutenant Myron Goldman (Stephen Caffrey) and Sergeant Zeke Anderson (Terence Knox). Two opposites. Goldman is a Westpoint graduate and Anderson a seasoned practitioner. This occasionally clashes. The troops also consist of various figures and they each have their own leaflet, but Anderson and Goldman nevertheless manage to forge them into a close-knit unit. Some episodes have an underlying theme such as discrimination, drug use, or PTSD. Others deal with the attitude of the home front towards soldiers. This makes for great stories. That's why, in my opinion, Tour of Duty is still the best series about soldiers ever made.
