After the diptych season about Rosie Larsen, with a very strong ending. I thought this season was going to be a bit disappointing. The opposite turned out to be true, in my opinion the best season so far!
I loved the whole dynamic of characters this season. In addition, I found the character Ray Seward (played by Peter Sarsgaard) one of the highlights. He was a hugely complex character, who hovered over the gray area really well. His eventual death was quite unexpected. You expect the clichés like, last minute to be rescued a little faster. Also because the story actually hinted at a rescue all along. And not to do it in the end makes it even stronger for me.
Other than that, the case was very exciting. The pace was again quite high this season and quite a few twists were thrown up again.

A new story in this third season. Although this contained fewer episodes than the first story surrounding Rosie Larsen from the first two seasons, this season was much longer-winded. For me the level scored a bit lower than the previous two seasons, but also lower than the Danish original. There were far too many empty moments in this third season, especially the scenes surrounding Ray in prison. This season also shows better how unstable the character Linden is and is actually not worthy of the position of detective, especially towards the end. I understand that season 4 partly continues the story from season 3, so I'm curious.
