Saint-Pierre plot
After delving too deeply into the shady dealings of a local politician, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Detective Inspector Donny "Fitz" Fitzpatrick is exiled to work in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, the French territory just off the coast of Newfoundland. Fitz's arrival disrupts the life of Deputy Chief Geneviève "Arch" Archambault. As if by fate, these two seasoned cops—with very different police skills and approaches—are forced to work together to solve crimes. Although the islands appear to be a picturesque tourist destination, their idyllic facade masks the worst kind of criminal activity.

Mediocre series. Not because of the crime plots, which are reasonably well-crafted, but mainly because of the amateurish, occasionally even childish, behavior and acting. This series doesn't even come close to the average Scandinavian or English crime series. The recurring theme in Saint-Pierre, surrounding Fitz and Gallagher's ex, starts to get tiresome after a while, culminating in just about the worst cliffhanger I've ever seen.
