Riverdale plot
As a new school year begins, the town of Riverdale is still reeling from the recent death of popular high school student Jason Blossom. Archie Andrews is a typical American teenager, but since the summer holidays he realizes that he wants to make a career in music. This is despite the sudden end of the forbidden relationship with the young music teacher, Mrs. Grundy, leaving him without a mentor. In addition, Cheryl Blossom appears to be keeping a secret about the mysterious death of her twin brother Jason. Riverdale may look like a sleepy town, but danger lurks around every corner.

I made it with Riverdale until season 3 and then dropped out because of Glee-esque scenes. This first season was okay with me at first. I thought the atmosphere was special and got the feel of a fairy tale. After I rewatched the first season with my wife, I found out that it was a lot sweeter than I remembered.
The scenario leaves a lot to be desired and the soap quality is not equally convincing everywhere. Furthermore, I find KJ Apa as Archie a horror, but the rest can do more.
On a second viewing, however, I came to the conclusion that it is all a bit disappointing.

I may not be the ideal target audience, but this is really bad, isn't it?
Acting sucks, story idem, locations are done far too little, suddenly idem, even the ladies who play in it and who in principle were also cast because they look good (where is that 120 kg actress, I'd say but oh well in this series you can hardly expect something like this, all powdered off fits better here) are all very average in appearance I think. No, cliché up to and including and really not my thing.
