Quicksand plot
Maja Norberg is an everyday, average school girl who leads a quiet life. There is often a lot of teenage drama involved, but nothing special. Until one day her life changes. Norberg is charged with murder after a tragedy takes place at her high school. The otherwise quiet rich neighborhood is being shaken up. But during the trial it becomes clear what kind of relationship she had with five other students, her parents and a teacher. Is Maja really the killer or just another victim?

If they had put this story in a one and a half hour movie my rating would have been higher. Unfortunately, this series with a length of about 5 hours only managed to hold my attention on a few moments. The whole thing tended towards a dull and slow discourse, which is a bit disappointing for a Scandinavian series within this genre. The cast, with some familiar faces, was quite good with Maja and her lawyer being the best. Sorry for the short and improbable statement. But who knows, the Public Prosecution Service will appeal in season 2.....

Great six-part Swedish Netflix original. A strong story, fortunately not too complex or artificial, told calmly and confidently. Such a sensitive subject stands or falls with the actors, who are fortunately excellent here without exception. It's also nice to see a series without a forced open ending. We don't have to be afraid of a second series in this case.
