Madeline Scott is a fierce and uncompromising lawyer with a thirst for justice. At age 18, she was wrongly convicted, along with her brother Levi, in a sensational murder trial that turned her into a notorious media obsession. Madeline runs the law firm with her partner, Easy Boudreau, the lawyer who helped her free her after serving 10 years in prison. Though she is a hero and to some a victim, Madeline's courageous and optimistic tactics earn her a number of enemies, most notably Gore Bellows, the accuser who initially imprisoned her and still believes she is guilty. Despite Bellows' relentless quest to put her back behind bars, Madeline will continue to defend others, even as she fights to maintain her innocence and searches for the real killer in her own case.
