Still one of the most famous netflix series I have the idea and it is understandable why. Simply strongly written series that here and there goes slightly off track, but all in all it is very pleasant to follow. Was one of the few series I was really looking forward to for the new season this summer.

Top season. Nice that they still mainly highlight new characters and don't unnecessarily milk old characters out of their past (as Lost sometimes did). This season had some fun new characters. Especially the new guards.
Characters like Tasty and Piper were finally used strongly again, but once again it is Red, Suzanne and Cindy who stand out. Also, after her introduction last season, I didn't expect Lolly to become such a strong character.
The pace was good, there was a lot of tension and there were some nice and less nice surprises towards the end. Wonderful series.

Looked half way through. I'm getting nothing with it. This really isn't about anything anymore. When I realized that this entire season was going to be about the rebellion, I wondered how they were going to keep it entertaining. Well, they can, unsurprisingly, not. Someone can't do shit, 2 inmates make a make up video, an Idol between the guards (wtf?!) and summon ghosts. The dialogues are as always excellent but that is not enough to carry the series.

This series never came close to my top 10, but this was one of the first times I really looked forward to the new season. Unfortunately, this season doesn't come close to previous seasons.
It's predictable and it also lacks the sharp humor from previous seasons. This season simply disappoints on all fronts. Every episode I hoped it would get better, after all last season also managed to make the cover after a number of episodes. However, I quickly got to the last episode, which you actually live for, but even that was downright disappointing.
The only thing that I really liked this season was the role of Blanca. She was always just a supporting role that I didn't care much for. They made sure that you bonded with her character this season and her ultimate fate touched me. If they had still kept her in the background, I would have been a little less affected by this. This is also the best of this season, I was a bit 'shocked' by this. For the rest I didn't like it much.
I therefore end up with only 2 * and that is mainly due to the acting performances that remain very strong in this series and I continue to love Suzanne.
