MDA plot

MDA is an Australian defense medical organization. The organization defends doctors against lawsuits and malpractice in exchange for a fixed, annual fee. The staff is a mix of lawyers and doctors, led by attorney Bill "Happy" Henderson. He is ably assisted by Dr. Ella Davies, who later leaves to become chief of emergency medicine at the nearby St. Albans Hospital. Their main rival is Richard Savage, a partner at the law firm Kato and Pittman, who is seen as a cunning and passionate advocate for patient rights.
