Mary Kills People season 1

The first two episodes were quite a disappointment.
I expected a drama series about the ethical issue of euthanasia. Unfortunately, it soon becomes apparent that there is hardly any depth, that there is actually just too much happening; that there are far too many coincidences; and that Mary Kills People is close to the 'soap' genre.
The wife of the first patient who just comes home during euthanasia, which should lead to a spectacular flight of Mary and Des;
The
way the first euthanasia fails and needs to be 'corrected';
Police investigation and the way in which;
Mary falls in love with the detective;
The girlfriend who quite accidentally finds the hidden products - and then also goes to test them
; ...
It is full of these kinds of unlikely events.

But look, a person then makes a click in his head; you know it's not a drama series, you start to look further from a different point of view. And as is often the case with series, this one also knows how to pull you into the story, and you are here again at the end of the episode looking forward to what will follow.

The story is mediocre, the acting mediocre (only the lead actress does very well). Where that encouragement to binge watch comes from...I have no explanation for it, but Mary does. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the second season.
A very narrow 3.5*
