When Jaap turns 63, it is time to involve son JJ more in the company. However, JJ sees no future for himself in a company with his much too authoritarian father. JJ tries to find his own way that can bring him more prosperity and, despite fierce opposition from his father, draws up his own plan. JJ's sister Bobby, who, like JJ, still lives with Jaap, is caught between two fires. She loves her father as much as her brother. There is also the difficult relationship between Jaap and café owner Nellie, who can't vent or see him, but has to deal with him willy-nilly. Nellie lives for her cafe and for her son Daniel, with whom she has an unusually strong bond.
