Gypsy plot
Jean Halloway is a therapist from Manhattan, New York. Her life seems perfect; she has a thriving practice and is married to Michael. However, Jean has intimate and dangerous relationships with the people in the lives of the patients she treats. Nice series with of course an excellent role by Naomi Watts (she carries the whole thing with ease). An original story that goes on for too long and the ending is too rushed compared to the rest of the series.

A psychotherapist with a degree of commitment anxiety and boredom with her married life becomes obsessed with the lives of some of her clients. So much so that she is actively involved in it. Interesting idea and concept. The execution is also good and the cast does a good job. With the somewhat slow pace of development I had no trouble and did not find it disturbing. They just take the time to tell you everything. What I do have a lot of trouble with is the ending: the weakest part of the series. Especially since no season 2 was made. Wonder why not; the reviews I read were mostly positive. And it certainly wasn't a flop.

What a terribly annoying series, the best sleeping aid ever for me, just put it on and sleep well. Not even Watts can save this misery. There just isn't enough happening. I advise Fervet to type Gypsy review into Google and then see that most people don't like it and rightly so. The reason why there is no second season is clear, there just wasn't enough interesting story and most connoisseurs thought the first season was already dull misery....
