The Deuce season 1

Absolute top again from Simon, of the level of The Wire and Treme. That same pace again, that same nuance with occasional small personal victories in a largely depraved yet thoroughly human universe. The grand master of the modern television landscape, unparalleled class.

The Deuce season 1

Pretty okay, but I expected a little more from this. A kind of east coast version of Boogie Nights for example. Unfortunately it didn't. Great acting and the atmosphere is well hit, but it's all just a bit too forced and a bit static. Plot lines and characters just don't really stick. I'm not really looking forward to a second season because of this, but go ahead, I'll give it another chance.
