Fortunate Son plot
1968. Ruby Howard, an American expatriate living in British Columbia with her family, becomes involved in anti-war activism. She is asked to bring the troubled American Travis Hunter across the border into Canada. This is to prevent Travis from being drafted into the Vietnam War. Meanwhile, CIA operative Vern Lang sets up a complex operation to infiltrate the peace movements on both the US and Canadian sides of the border in an attempt to stop the evasion.
